BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Buhoma Lodge

Positioned directly within the boundaries of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, this property occupies an elevated hillside in the Buhoma sector. Surrounded by primary rainforest and ancient ferns, the site provides guests with immediate daily contact with the complex ecology of an important Afro-montane habitat.

The architecture utilizes sustainable timber and local stone to integrate with the steeply pitched environment of the primary forest canopy. Elevated walkways connect the central lounge to private chalets, ensuring minimal impact on the underlying vegetation while providing clear vantage points across the valley. The interior design prioritizes functional comfort, featuring locally crafted furniture and large windows that frame the surrounding ecology. After navigating the steep trails, guests utilize a dedicated massage room and a spacious lounge centered around a warm fireplace. Staying here ensures a continuous daily connection to the park from arrival until departure.
