Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

Arrive in Kigali, where your guide welcomes you before a private transfer north toward Volcanoes National Park. Settle into your lodge near the park, enjoy the mountain air, and prepare for the following morning’s gorilla trek.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, meet park rangers for your gorilla trekking briefing before entering the forest with expert trackers. The hike varies by gorilla location, but the reward is extraordinary: one hour observing a mountain gorilla family. Return to the lodge for lunch, rest, and a quiet evening in the volcanic foothills.

Day 3: Optional Experience and Return to Kigali

Spend the morning at leisure or add a golden monkey trek, cultural visit, or conservation-focused experience near Volcanoes National Park. Afterward, return to Kigali by private transfer, with time for a city stop if schedules allow. The journey ends with airport drop-off or an overnight stay arranged around your onward plans.
