Akagera National Park
Akagera is Rwanda's only savanna park, occupying the eastern border with Tanzania. Here lakes, swamps, and rolling highlands replace the rainforests of the country's west with open grassland and papyrus-fringed waterways supporting species absent from the mountainous interior.
